Muskeg is a form of mossy wetland found in the Canadian boreal forest, which is home to Picea marianathe Black Spruce. In North America this tree ranges from Newfoundland and Labrador in the East up to Alaska in the West, following the boreal forest and taiga, where it thrives in acidic and low-nutrient conditions. An iconic feature of the northern landscape, to us the Black Spruce symbolizes home, and that spirit of pursuing prosperity in face of adversity.
